“Rosmunda d’Inghilterra” is a triumph. This is what the audience and the critics said at the end of the show held at Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo. The operistic debut of the Filarmonica del Festival was the best possible, thanks above all to the wonderful cast of singers. Jessica Pratt was a marvellous Rosmonda and her pure voice managed with great agility all the difficulties in her part. Excellent performance also for Eva Mei in Leonora, Dario Schmunk in Enrico, Nicola Ulivieri in Clifford and Raffaela Lupinacci in Arturo, en travesti.
Sebastiano Rolly conducted the Orchestra Donizetti Opera with self-confidence and mastery. The Orchestra itself played with sensitivity, bringing out all possible musical hues in the score. The Orchestra Donizetti Opera results from the cooperation of Festival Pianistico Internazionale with Fondazione Donizetti and it puts together Filarmonica del Festival and Donizetti Opera Ensemble.
